First session of winter 19/20 in Galicia for Cédric Giscos
Spoiler alert: he’s got it going on!
On Monday 9 December, we were lucky enough to have one of the best sessions of the year at Illa Pancha in Galicia. I’d especially like to thank my friend Pierre Fourcade , who drove me on some magnificent waves! This morning was just incredible, the swell that came in during the night was clearly perfect. At daybreak, the wind was blowing offshore. Half the waves were tubing…
I’m really happy to have surfed my first tubes on this slab… unfortunately, I only got one small one out of the whole session… I’m still going to have to improve my technique to be able to surf these waves properly…
In any case, despite the two huge hits I took on the two biggest barrels of my life, I learnt a lot… and I can’t wait to go back! Next time, I’ll have better lines and it will pass!!!! 😁 On this session, I also spent quite a bit of time underwater… I triggered my percussion waistcoat 4 times on three different waves.… On one of my last waves, I almost ended up in the rocks…
